Pelvic Health

This field began as Women’s Health, based around women in childbearing and geriatric seasons of life, and the problems that showed up with the bladder. Once it became evident that men, in fact, had some of the same problems with their pelvic organs and musculature, it transitioned to Pelvic Health. And, maybe finally, we can call it Abdominopelvic Health. When you can see all of the areas of impact with the pelvic floor and abdominal organs, it becomes clear that this is a very complex field. Not only do we now address all of these areas of challenge, but we see clients in all phases of life and physical capacity.

Are you having back, or SI pain? Pelvic floor pressure, pain, or prolapse? Digestive difficulties? Lack of pleasure or difficulty with orgasm? Fertility challenges? Urinary leakage or stream struggles? Issues in pregnancy? Concerns around birth? Pelvic health involves different parts of the pelvic floor, impacting and causing issues that are interconnected throughout the systems. A thorough understanding of the muscles, nerves, bones, and blood vessels is essential for effective treatment. A comprehensive and multi-faceted approach that addresses all of the systems is vital to manage your specific pelvic health challenges. At IOPT, this is the practice platform we use to help you change your life.
